Respirator and Earplug Fit Testing

Many industries are now having to maintain compliance with the AS/NZS 1715:2009 “Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective devices” requirements. To assist, Jem Health now offers both Respirator and Ear plug fit testing as part of our Occupational Health Service.

Using  the PortaCount 8048 with Fit Pro Ultra we can quantitatively fit test all types of respirators-gas masks, SCBAs, respirators, even N95, P1 and P2 disposable (filtering-facepiece) respirators.

Having both the Honeywell  VeriPRO® 4.0 system and 3M E-A-RFIT Dual Validation kits,  we are a provider who can test any brand of ear plug.

Manual Handling and Back Care

Jem Health offer a range of face to face manual handling training solutions which start at a 90 minute session right through to a full day training program.

The training commences with a presentation focusing on back and shoulder anatomy, posture, muscular strength and fatigue, stretching and strengthening exercises, safe lifting techniques and safe workplace practices. Individuals gain knowledge of the various tissues and structures which can be at risk of injury through unsafe work practices and poor posture.

Our training is highly interactive and engaging with a large portion of the time spent practically applying the knowledge learned.

Each session includes written and practical assessments, so you can be sure your team have understood the information covered in the session.
