Dr Laura Haston
Chief Medical Officer
Dr Haston graduated with an MBChB in 2004 from the University of Glasgow. She has an extensive clinical background, with more than 20 years of experience in a wide range of clinical specialties. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice, and her roles have included a wide range of hospital-based acute specialties, then general practice and urgent care, with education and training responsibilities throughout. This broad education and medical background, coupled with communication and people management skills lends itself to her occupational health positions.
Since commencing work with Jem Health in 2019, Dr Haston has assisted in the ongoing growth and development of the pre-employment medical, injury management and health monitoring services. She works closely with all team members, clients and companies to ensure optimal service provision.
She has a Monash Certificate in Occupational Medicine and is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). She is an OEUK medical examiner, is an AHP for rail medicals and completes commercial drivers and health monitoring assessments.
Dr Haston and her team endeavour to work closely with companies and clients to ensure appropriate service in a timely and safe manner.

Dr Natalie Phillipson

Dr Phillipson was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia and graduated as Dux of Carine Senior High School in 1993, gaining immediate entrance into the University of WA’s medical school from which she successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
She then worked in the Western Australian public and private hospital system from 2000 to 2024 across a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, then gained General Practice experience in 2005, and commenced work as an Occupational Medical Officer for Prime Health in 2006.
Dr Phillipson has been a Rail AHP and an OEUK (OGUK) certified provider since 2007. She obtained a Graduate Diploma of Occupational Medicine, Health and Safety from Edith Cowan University in WA in 2009 whilst working as the sole medical practitioner at the rural Prime Bunbury clinic for a year.
Subsequent to this, Dr Phillipson continued to gain extensive experience in occupational medical practice. She was the founding medical officer at Spartan First since its inception in 2018, providing key medical leadership for the secure establishment of this First Nations-owned business from baseline to multiple metropolitan, rural and interstate clinics.
Since 2023, Dr Phillipson has provided her occupational health expertise to Jem Health which she has found to be an extremely well digitally organized and respectful employer.

Dr Guillermo Ruggeri
Consultant Occupational Physician
Dr Guillermo Ruggeri is an Australian trained Consultant Occupational Physician, Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Environmental and Occupational Medicine (RACP). With over 15
years of experience in occupational medicine, he has held positions as head of the occupational medicine department for Procter and Gamble in their paper manufacturing plant in Venezuela, Medical Support Panel occupational physician with Icare, NSW, Senior Consultant for MLC Life Insurance, Clinical Lead Physician for the Australian Border Force, Clinical Lead Physician for the Roads and Maritime Service, NSW. , Clinical Lead Physician for the Ambulance Service of NSW, NSW Coal Mining Industry, Respiratory Health Standard independent reviewer and Clinical Supervisor for Occupational Medicine Registrars.
He has completed an Australian Certificate of Aviation Medicine and a Graduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health through Monash University, Vic. While working with MLC Life Insurance he was awarded the 2017 CANSTAR Innovation
Excellence Award for his work as Senior Medical Consultant of the Pre Claim Early Engagement Service.
Since commencing work with Jem Health in 2023, Dr Ruggeri has assisted in the ongoing oversighting of preemployment and periodic health assessments for remote and offshore
workers.
